Huge well done and thank you to ALL of our participants, incredible entries all round that made it incredibly hard to judge – eeek!
Our judge has had a good look at all the entries and found it really hard to choose and I’m so glad to have passed the buck here, however we were in agreement with the WINNER and that’s Thomas aged 9 with his Werewolf Poem – CONGRATULATIONS THOMAS! Your prize will be mailed out to you tomorrow along with an extra surprise and should be with you next week in time for Halloween Here’s a copy of Thomas’s Poem for those of you who may not have seen it.
Our runner up for the competition with a very creative cat mask is Zainab aged 6! Great use of recycled items!
Look out for our next competition/giveaway very soon and hope you’ll all take part! Here is Zainab’s cat mask for those who may not have seen it! Your prize will be in the post tomorrow along with a little surprise as well!
This closes at 7:30pm! Please don’t forget to get your entries in to email@example.com before then. Entries after won’t be counted.

Lizzie has been entered into the Face of Bounty competition. To see us through to the next round we have to accumulate enough votes. Keeping our fingers crossed ❤
Emma McConnellogue’s little one.
When they are so little, there is so very little we can do to alleviate the symptoms of illness for them. We have calpol and baby ibuprofen, but that really only helps pain and fevers, when your little one is so choked with the cold they can barely breathe let alone feed or sleep, what do you do to make them more comfortable? The only things I can think of that have been of limited effectiveness is bath/shower room or Snufflebabe rubbed on the inside of the vest/t-shirt/gro…
Does anyone have any suggestions for a 6 month old?
Yip, you guessed it, I’m still sick, worst thing is how it’s now affecting Lizzie. She doesn’t sleep well and feeding is a struggle, it’s all a bit poop! It’s been a crazy wet, wild and mixed weekend, but we did have some sun on and off today, which was pleasant and prompted me to get out and do that Photoshoot of Lizzie I’ve been dying to do! It was lovely. We took some props, popped on a lovely, warm, girly outfit and headed off to the local, quiet, park where we’d be pretty much undisturbed 🙂
It started with a tickle, then it metastasised and now it’s a demon cold from hell. One that has now taken my poor daughter too 😦 We are a sorry state of a family right now. James started coughing…it’s all down hill from there. I’m feeling very sorry for myself, mostly because I feel so poorly all my activities and fun stuff I had lined up have been discarded into a snotty and dusty heap. I’m in the middle of making wind chimes for Lizzie’s room, I have a couple of my own art canvas projects to start and finish for LIzzie’s room now the glue gun has arrived and a bunch of crafts for halloween to be getting on with and updating you all with but can I find the energy? No 😦 I’m considering intravenous caffeine…PURE CAFFEINE.
This is for the rescue I founded with one of my best friends, SRAN: Sophie’s Refuge for Animals in Need – It’s gone from strength to strength but as all rescues do, rely on public support, help and donations to keep things functioning. If you’re in the UK and fancy an afternoon out in Nottingham, please do book a slot and come along, meet the team, support a fantastic cause and have some ace photos taken of you and your furry best friend(s) Please click the link and support our little rescue, we support the whole of the UK taking in and rehoming animals from all over ❤
This cold is really starting to take hold now and Lizzie is going through a period of extreme sleep regression. She wakes up between 12-2am and wide awake and wanting to play, takes a good hour to get her back to sleep. James and I are beat and I’m struggling with this virus – not cool. Anyhoo, it’s been quiet and slow here as I really have no energy to do much of anything short of getting through the day, but I still try to keep Lizzie entertained as much as I can. The other day we did Jelly, then there was goopy yoghurt and rice and today we stayed away from mess and I bust out the Little Tikes Sand Pit we won and filled it with her ball pool balls and made a ball pit!
Monday in fact, but it’s been so hectic here i haven’t had a moment to mention it 😀 We have had a quick look to make sure it’s all there and cannot WAIT to get it all set up in better weather – Thank you once again Netmums and Little Tikes!
