Recipe Time! Beer Bratwurst Pasta

This is James’ signature dish and perfect for cold autumn/winter nights – It’s filling, flavourful and very easy to make!

He has made it for us a few times now and I think it gets better with each making and could eat the entire pot, which made enough for 6 people.

Ingredients

  • 5-6 Bratwurst Sausages
  • 6-8 Rashers of Bacon
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Swede (diced)
  • 4 Large Potatoes (diced)
  • 500g Pasata
  • Black Pepper
  • Mixed Herbs
  • 1/2 Bottle of Real Ale
  • Penne Pasta

Method

Fry up your Bacon & Bratwurst then cut them up into bite sized pieces.

Place in large pot and add, potatoes, onion, swede, potatoes, beer, pasata, mixed herbs and black pepper.

Turn hob onto a medium heat and stir ingredients together until well mixed and leave to simmer for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, stir and cook pasta in a separate pot for 7-10 minutes.

Once cooked to your liking, drain and combine with the sauce and other ingredients.

Cook for a further 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
